Dalton Marketing Group is led by John Dalton, a seasoned marketing strategist and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience building, scaling, and repositioning brands. John’s background spans global brands like American Airlines, FedEx, 7-Eleven, and Brinker International, as well as multiple founder-led businesses he built, scaled, and exited.
In 2009, John transitioned fully into entrepreneurship, launching and growing several companies, including Inkwell Press, which reached seven figures in under two years and was later sold. He also built the Tanya Dalton brand from the ground up, resulting in millions of podcast downloads and a major publishing deal.
Over the past several years, John has focused specifically on the landscape industry, serving as a fractional CMO and revenue advisor to landscape companies looking to bring structure, clarity, and consistency to their marketing and sales efforts.
His work helps owners stop guessing where growth will come from and start leading revenue with confidence.

Most landscape companies don’t have a revenue problem, they have a clarity problem.
Marketing feels scattered. Sales efforts aren’t aligned. Owners are unsure which leads are worth pursuing, which channels are working, or how to invest confidently in growth. As a result, revenue depends too heavily on referrals, seasonality, or hope.
John helps landscape owners turn marketing and sales into a system, not a gamble. He works closely with leadership teams to clarify positioning, align messaging, and build revenue engines that consistently attract the right clients and convert them into profitable work.
The outcome is predictable lead flow, stronger close rates, and the confidence to invest in growth knowing revenue is being generated intentionally.
